The other week I got a text from my friend Emily in LA, who sent proof that she had found my Sketchbook Project sketchbook while the exhibit was on its Cali tour! Once again, I just love the concept of sharing art across the globe! Pretty neat stuff.
This has helped curb my separation anxiety, knowing that once my sketchbook lands itself in the Brooklyn Art Library for good, I can still find its essence somewhere in the cloud of the interwebs. The Sketchbook Project people understand this:
Your book has a new home at the Brooklyn Art Library, our storefront exhibition space. This might be a little bit like the feeling you get when you drop your first child off at college. But, don’t worry — we’ll make sure your book is warm and dry, eating all its veggies, and only hanging out with the good sketchbooks.”
At least we’ll always have the cloud.
